(ECNS) -- A Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) supply chain service station jointly developed by Chengdu City in Sichuan Province and Pakistan is set to launch in September, the Chengdu Supply Chain Association announced on Saturday.
The association said it has reached an agreement with the Pakistani Consulate General in Chengdu to jointly establish the service station.
The Chengdu-based BRI supply chain service stations facilitated 35 trade and investment cooperation projects in the first half of this year, demonstrating their growing role in helping local enterprises expand into overseas markets while attracting foreign businesses, the association said.
In July, the association partnered with the Pakistani Consulate General in the city to organize a specialized business-to-business event for the meat and poultry industries in both countries. Through these service stations, communication and economic cooperation between domestic and international enterprises have seen a marked boost.
